Dr. Schmutz grew up in Los Angeles, California. He completed his Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Utah and later received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah Medical School. After medical school he completed a rotational internship at the Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He then went on to complete a residency in Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology from the prestigious University of Washington. Dr. Schmutz has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 1997 and specializes in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.
